Brick House has spent years preparing for the Low Power FM station, WXBH FM 92.7, which launched this summer. Because of that preparation we are uniquely positioned to become the only Full Power community FM station in the area!
October 11-19, 2007 is the only time THIS DECADE that the FCC is accepting new non-profit community Full Power radio FM license applications. With your support we can extend the reach of community radio to nearly two thirds of the Louisville and Southern Indiana area!

Service and Action: These days, there is a new project daily, large and small, coming through the doors at the Brick House. You can take action through the Brick working groups - go to www.brickhouse.cc to find out how. Right now, there are opportunities for new shows on the radio, new community transportation alternatives, new art projects city wide, open mic and national performances at Brick and sister clubs, Partner Certifications in Community Communications and Sustainability, and much more....
Outreach is viral, through the network of friends and publications that have spread the word about Brick for years. YOU are part of that network - Please make your donation, forward this email, invite your group to produce a radio show, use the Brick partner network to help green our community... Pass the Word.
Fundraising: Brick has made it to our key milestones, and now it is time to grow:
* A new Building, finally ready for full rehab;
* WXBH Low Power FM, broadcasting on the air now and set to move up to a full power license;
* A functioning neighborhood center, participating in the life of the community, from gardening to drop in center to media studio to art show participant, supporting the lives of participants and growing.Here are real deadlines for funders, who can make a real difference for our community:
Full Power FM License Application Deadline: October 19: $10,000 Brick House operations Budget for the winter months, including first phase Green retrofits and operations: $10,000 Pledge deadline for 2008: Oct 19.
Brick House, WXBH and it's full power growth are reliant upon the community for support in content production, volunteer service, and financial contributions. Unlike commercial radio, FCC regulations prohibit low power stations from financing operations through the sale of advertising spots. WXBH's survival is dependent on the community's ability to support the station through donations and underwriting.
Fundraising goes towards expenses related to Brick House operations, everything from building insulation and day-lighting to bicycle tools, gardening supplies, arts media, station start-up, transmission equipment, main studio and secondary production studio equipment, remote interview equipment, attorney and engineer expenses, and monthly maintenance costs.

- The Brick House is recognized by the IRS as a 501(c)3 non-profit institution - All financial contributions to WXBH are tax-deductable.
- You have helped us raise $10,000+ dollars so far! We're grateful for your help, but we still have lots of progress to make. Consider throwing a house party for the station, and invite the people that you know will support the station. We can bring a progressive film out for your friends and family to watch and a representative can be there to answer all the questions anyone may have.
- You can help us raise money by organizing a carwash, a bakesale, a raffle, going to paypal, etc.
- Are you in a band? Please feel free to organize a benefit show for WXBH. Proceeds will benefit the entire community as artists from the entire area will get exposure.
- Thomas Jefferson Unitarian contributed $1007 that they raised in a raffle at their Winter Art Auction in December of 2005. WXBH is truly gracious to Martha Flack, the church congregation and also the artists who donated their wonderful artworks to be raffled off for the station.
